I think it really depends on the collector.. CGC is newer to the game and not well known to all people. So when compared to a company like PSA or even BGS. People might go for the more known company..

Today I bought my first cards in 20 years to open with my daughter. last pack I opened was jungle when I was a kid. I got a ex box with 4 packs in it to open with my daughter. One of the packs was obsidian flames. Curious as to what may be in it i found this video. She wanted to open it because it possibly had a charizard in it.. and I’ll be damned she pulls the best charizard in the set. Memories were made today!

I opened that red gyrados when I was 10 years old. Brought it to school when I was 16, and it rained. The card was ruined. Was a very sad day. Makes me feel even more sad a PSA 10 was 11k.
